Viognier is a high extract grape variety giving wonderfully intense flavours on the nose and pallet. Often giving off scents of stone fruit like Apricot. The grapes are generally high in sugar meaning the wine has a stronger ABV.

Fun Fact: Viognier nearly became extinct in 1965 with only 8 acres of plantings in the Northern Rhone. Since then, popularity has risen and it is now planted all over the world.
