Waverider's Sauvignon Blanc is one of our most popular wines, so it's no surprise that this Rose variation is becoming a customer favourite too!. It has all the character you'd expect of a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but the addition of Pinot Noir grapes brings floral aromas and a hint of berries with a vibrant acidity and a fruity finish.
If you're looking to update your wine collection for Summer, this is the perfect addition to your list.
As you’d expect from a summery wine, this sauvignon blanc pairs beautifully with lighter dishes such as salads, and smooth cheeses. You can also serve it alongside shellfish dishes such as crab or mussels.
Sauvignon Blanc White Wine should be served chilled at around 10 degrees centigrade. To achieve this, pop it in the fridge or a bucket of ice for a couple of hours prior to serving. If the wine is too warm the flavours of the wine will become muddled, too cold and become dulled. Use a good quality wine glass with a stem to prevent your hand from warming the wine during drinking.
As you’d expect with a crisp, dry and refreshing wine, lighter dishes are the best accompaniment for this delicious rose. Roast chicken salad, salmon and rice, veggie skewers and simple, soft cheeses are all great options.
Rosé Wine is best served chilled, around 10-12 degrees centigrade. Either chill it in the fridge for a couple of hours or use an ice bucket. Don’t let the wine get too cold, this will cause it to taste acidic on the tongue. If it is too warm you’ll lose all those beautiful flavours. Serve in a long stemmed glass so you can hold your wine without transferring any heat from your hand.
