Chile’s wine industry is founded on diversity, largely do to its typography for a mostly coastal country.
Bordered by the Pacific Ocean, followed with snow-capped Andes to the Atacama Dessert - this creates warm inland regions and cool coastal pockets resulting in a varied wine profiles across the board.
The most productive know wine region is Valle Central through its four fames grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
